Note: The temperature readings are directly measured at the tip of the temperature sensor, located about 15 mm away from the hot air vent. The temperature distribution inside the dryer is NOT uniform. Dryer Temperature Measurement

PrintDry dryer is regulating its temperature by using a close-loop design. When the temperature is above the preset value, the heating unit will be turned off. On the other hand, if the temperature is below the preset value, the heating unit will be turned on. Therefore, the heating unit always have its ON/OFF cycle. When checking the dryer temperature, the following equipment and method are used.

Device: PH-1016U Multi-channel Temperature Measurement Device with T, J, K Type Thermocouples, 0.1℃ temperature resolution and 0.5℃ temperature accuracy.

Temperatures are measured at 4 locations -- 3 locations inside a dryer and 1 location outside the dryer.

  1. T1: measured at the hot air outlet (close to the dryer temperature sensor) as shown in the picture below.
  2. T2: measured in the center half way in the height.
  3. T3: measured in the center about 50mm below the lid internal surface.
  4. T4: room temperature.

The temperature distribution inside the dryer is NOT uniform. The temperature in a place close to the hot air vent is higher and the temperature in a place far away from the hot air vent is lower.
