Frequently Asked Question: What is the difference between the X1-Carbon and the X1E?
Answer: This essentially comes down to the type of user each machine is engineered for. The X1-Carbon is Bambu Lab’s top end printer for consumers/hobby users. Bambu Lab made the X1-Enterprise for more professional customers, such as schools, businesses, and those looking for a more reliable machine that has a wider array of material compatibility.
X1E offers a significantly more secure network interface, with the ability to work entirely without any network at all. It has an Ethernet port, the WiFi radio is removable, it has a network kill switch, and supports 802.1x network access control.
The X1E also uses higher grade printhead components, giving it the ability to reach 320C, critical for printing the strongest, high temperature materials available from Bambu Lab.
X1E offers a chamber heater to improve the performance of engineering grade materials and to prevent warping.
X1E also significantly upgrades the air filtration of the X1C by using a G3 grade pre-filter, H12 grade HEPA filter, and particulate matter filtration.
