M6 is one of the most popular sizes for 4mm Bowden tube fittings today. This is utilized in the extruder end of the Creality CR-10 (v1 and V2). 

These Bowden Push-Type Connector (PTC) fittings are spring loaded, keeping your tube in place whether you use C-clips or not.
