Description

The Stainless Steel 17-4 Filamet™ Print and Sinter Kit is designed for quick metal printing success.

What’s Included: 0.5kg spool of Stainless Steel 17-4 Filamet™, Filawarmer, 0.6mm Hardened Steel Nozzle*, 300mL Alumina, 1kg Steel Blend, 0.5kg Sintering Carbon.

*If your printer does not use MK8 or MK10 1.75mm nozzles, you will need to purchase a 0.6mm hardened steel nozzle separately.

Specs: The 0.5kg Stainless Steel 17-4 Filamet™ included in this kit contains 80.0% - 85.0% metal and has a density of 3.0g/cc.

High Compatibility: This Filamet™ enables any open-architecture Fused Filament Fabrication 3D printer to produce metal objects. Even works in 3D printing pens!

Easy to Print: All you need is an open architecture 3D printer, a 0.6mm hardened steel nozzle, a Filawarmer, and a model to print. Print like regular PLA. Place your spool so that the filament coming off is going straight into the extruder. The flow rate in your slicer may need to be adjusted up to 135%. Little to no warping occurs during printing.

Advanced Properties: Filamet™ is less hygroscopic than regular PLA. Filament dryers have adverse effects on Filamet™. Spools should not be dried.

Fully Sinterable Metal Filament: Once fired in a sintering furnace, the result is 100% metal. Instructions for sintering this product.

Special Qualities: Ferromagnetic, heat treatable (sintered), and can be aged.

Used For: Partner Innovators have used this filament for aerospace and automotive research.

Crucible Specs: Alumina: 93mm D x 93mm H / Graphite: outside: 127mm D x 145mm H / inside: 127mm H x 102mm D

Eliminate tooling and machining costs for short run manufacturing, prototyping, and one-off metal part needs.

Note: All sales final except in cases of defective product.
